For more than 17 years, Don Siuta’s Art Dialogue Gallery and Western New York Artists Group shared a cozy gallery space at 1 Linwood Ave. But on Friday, Art Dialogue will begin its tenure at a new space at 5 Linwood Ave. as the original space begins its transformation into a gift shop, classroom and exhibition venue known as the Artists Group Gallery.

The new Art Dialogue Gallery, which now occupies a former tailor shop in the same Linwood Avenue building, will open its doors at 11 a.m. Friday with an exhibition featuring work by Buffalo painter Edward G. Bisone.

Art Dialogue, also a prosperous framing business, originally opened in 1985 on Delaware Avenue and has featured a who’s who of veteran Buffalo artists as well as emerging artists since then.

“In many cases we gave artists their first major exhibitions,” Siuta said in a release. “I feel it is important to exhibit new and emerging artists alongside that of the well established.”

The exhibition of paintings by Bisone, a close friend of Siuta who has exhibited with the gallery since the ’80s, runs through Jan. 31. Call 885-2251 or visit www.artdialoguegallery.com for more info.
