A motorist whose vehicle got stuck in a snowbank in the Town of Boston early this morning was charged with driving while intoxicated, Erie County sheriff’s deputies reported.
Deputies were dispatched to Lower East Hill Road at about 5:30 a.m. to check on a disabled vehicle. They determined that Christopher T. Wier, 21, of East Aurora, had lost control of his vehicle, which left the road and hit the snowbank.
Wier wasn’t injured. Deputies said he submitted to a chemical breath test, which revealed a blood-alcohol content of 0.10 percent.
Wier was charged with DWI and unspecified traffic violations.
He was released to a third party, pending an appearance in Boston Town Court. His vehicle was towed from the scene and was to be impounded for 12 hours.
