LETTER PERFECT – It’s National Polka Month, which is the occasion for the Broadway Market, 999 Broadway, to celebrate some other Polish delights beginning with the letter P – pierogi and piwo (beer).

The New Direction Band will provide the polka music from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, while the Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle will be on hand to host tastings of Polish and European brews. Supplying the pierogi will be Keeping Traditions Pierogi and Paula’s Pierogi.

Open as usual from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be the regular meat, poultry, fish, produce and baked goods stands, along with local food, wine and craft vendors. For info, call 893-0705 or visit www.broadwaymarket.org.

HUNGRY HARMONIES – Satisfy your appetite and exercise your vocal cords at the Pasta Supper and Sing-along at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Hughson Hall at Calvary Episcopal Church, 20 Milton St. at South Cayuga Road, Williamsville.

Dinners of pasta, homemade sauces, optional meatballs, salad, garlic bread, beverages and make-your-own sundaes are $10 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 12 and $25 for a family of four or more. Proceeds benefit the church’s outreach efforts.

SOUP’S ON – Homemade soups will be offered at the Soup and Salad Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Lower Parish Center at St. Teresa’s Church, 1974 Seneca St. Soup, salad, roll, beverage and dessert are $5. Use the entrance on Hayden Street.

There also will be a special pie raffle, handcrafted wooden snowmen created by Sister Simon and a 50-50 raffle. For info, call 822-0608 between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
