Erie County Republican Chairman Nicholas A. Langworthy on Monday announced the endorsement of Mary G. Carney as a candidate for Family Court judge in the Nov. 5 general election.
A partner at Carney & Giallanza law firm, Carney had formerly spent seven years as a solo practitioner focusing on family and matrimonial law. Since 2003, she has worked as an attorney representing children in Erie County Family Court and State Supreme Court. Carney has extensive experience in custody cases, as well as abuse and neglect cases.
The Erie County Republican Committee has also endorsed for re-election Erie County Surrogate Barbara Howe, Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw and Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard. The committee has also endorsed the candidacy of family and matrimonial law attorney Deanne M. Tripi for Family Court judge.
