Four public assemblies will be held on a recent report that found that the Huntley Generating Station in the Town of Tonawanda, Erie County’s last coal-burning power plant, could go out of operation in the next several years.

The Clean Air Coalition of Western New York will lead a discussion on the report’s findings, brainstorm what residents, workers and local governments can do about them and identify community priorities moving forward.

The assemblies will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Boys and Girls Club, 54 Riverdale Road, Town of Tonawanda; 6 p.m. Monday in the Grand Island Memorial Library, 1715 Bedell Road; 6 p.m. Thursday at Northwest Community Center, 155 Lawn Ave., Buffalo; and 6 p.m. March 13 in Tonawanda City Hall, 200 Niagara St.
