At least one person apparently died in a fire Tuesday night in a 1½-story wooden house at 65 Sirret St. in South Buffalo.
The Erie County medical examiner was called to the scene to pick up a body just before midnight. The Fire Department said it had no confirmation of any other injuries or deaths.
Firefighters had been at the scene since 9:57 p.m.
The cause of the fire was undetermined early today, and there was no estimate of the damage, as firefighters remained at the scene.
