NCAA fans, we hope you brought your winter coats because it looks like we’re getting a little bit of snow and wind Thursday. But don’t worry, it’s not going to be anything like those Buffalo blizzards you may have heard of.

Right now, it’s about 48 degrees and we can expect rain showers this evening, according to the National Weather Service.

The spring-like temperatures we’ve been enjoying here are expected to drop to the 30s this evening, turning the rain to a little bit of snow that’s not expected to stick. But winds are forecast to start to pick up overnight. The weather service issued a wind advisory from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, mainly near the Lake Erie shoreline. (For out of towners, the First Niagara Center in downtown Buffalo where the games will be played, is pretty close to the shoreline.) Winds from the southwest are expected to be blowing at 20 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.

Thursday, the morning will start out with a chance of rain and snow showers, then turning to all show showers, accumulating up to just a half an inch.

Thursday night, snow showers remain a likelihood up until about 10 p.m. with winds continuing.
