MOVING UP – Making his debut tonight on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” at 11:30 p.m. on Channel 2 is “The Animal Guy,” Buffalo native Jeff Musial, owner of Nickel City Reptiles. Musial and Fallon are no strangers, however. Musial appeared in Fallon’s “Late Night” show more than 30 times.

ROCK FEST – Add some sparkle to your weekend at the Buffalo Geological Society’s 46th annual Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show in the Grange Market Building on the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg.

The show, whose theme is “Lapidary: The Magic of Cut Stones,” is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 per day or $7 for a two-day pass. Scouts in uniform and children under 12 are admitted free. For more info, visit www.BGSNY.org.

HIGH TECH – A demonstration of “Digital Capture and Printing of Art” will be featured at the meeting of the Twin Village Art Society at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Village of Lancaster Municipal Building, Broadway and Central Avenue.

Eric DeLac, owner of the UPS Store in Amherst, will show how it’s done, and those attending are invited to bring examples of their art for imaging. Admission is free. Guests are welcome. Refreshments will be served. For info, call Chip Blenk at 207-7350.

OTHER EATS – The Amherst Lions Club sponsors its annual pancake breakfast and community health fair Saturday in Christ United Methodist Church, 350 Saratoga Road at Harlem Road, Snyder. Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. is $6 for adults, $3.50 for kids under 12, and includes sausage, applesauce, fresh fruit and beverages. The community health fair takes place from 8 to 11 a.m. in the church basement, where screening will be available for diabetes, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, eyesight and dental health.

The Erie County Council Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars holds its first Soup-a-Thon and basket raffle from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in Pvt. Leonard Post Jr. Post 6251, VFW, 2450 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga. Cost is $5 for all you can eat.

The Sanborn Fire Company Band will host a Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue dinner and basket raffle at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the Sanborn Fire Hall, 5811 Buffalo St. (Route 429). Dinners are $9.75. Basket drawing begins at about 1:30 p.m.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the North Amherst Fire Company holds its sixth annual all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the fire hall facility at Tonawanda Creek Road and Campbell Boulevard, Amherst. Dinners, which include salad, beverage, dessert and homemade sauce by Stephen and Krisi DiPasquale, are $7.50 adults, $4 kids 4 to age 12. Beer and wine will be available.
