They apparently don’t call him “Rascal” for nothing.
The Buffalo Zoo announced Wednesday that Rascal, a 7-year-old North American river otter, fathered two separate litters with 9-year-old sisters Daisy and Ellie, leading to the first otters born at the zoo.
Zoo spokeswoman Rachel Gottlieb said both mothers have been attentive. The pups are too small to be on exhibit for another few weeks, but the zoo will share updated photos and video footage of the otters on its Facebook page, as well as post images by the Otter Creek exhibit.
