Two international companies looking to expand into the U.S. market recently moved into the University at Buffalo Technology Incubator in the Baird Research Park on Sweet Home Road in Amherst.
Specialized NDE Inc., a Hamilton, Ont.-based company, opened its U.S. headquarters Jan. 1 in the incubator, and InVentures Group began leasing space Feb. 1 on behalf of Nuenz Ltd, a New Zealand-based company.
Specialized NDE works in the field of nondestructive evaluations, using technologies such as high-frequency ultrasound imaging to test the integrity of welding, aircraft landing gear, pipelines, gas tanks and more for a variety of industries. Buffalo Niagara Enterprise aided Specialized NDE in site selection process, workforce and access to incentives along with other assistance.
Nuenz is a manufacturer of nanofiber materials that make other materials stronger, lighter and durable.
