A 34-year-old Amherst Street man and a 43-year-old Delaware Avenue man were arrested for allegedly trying to steal at car at a gas station at Delaware Avenue and Amherst Street late Tuesday when its owner went inside to pay for his gas.
Austin A. Neal, of Amherst Street and Robert Curry of Delaware Avenue were charged with conspiracy and attempted grand larceny after the car owner’s wife who had remained in the vehicle screamed for help about 11 p.m. and the two suspects were held until police arrived.
