Bowmansville Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Bowmansville Fire Hall, 36 Main St. Sandra Barnes, CNLP and horticulturist/nursery manager at Seasonal Landscaping in Elma, will present “Basic Elements of Landscape Design: How to Be Your Own Designer.” Business meeting to follow. Kenmore Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Kenmore United Methodist Church, 32 Landers Road. Following the business meeting, Lyn Chimera, master gardener and owner of Lessons from Nature, will present “Five Steps to Better Gardening.” This will include basics on site assessment, tools, plant care and composting. Guests welcome.

Eden Garden Study Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Eden Junior-Senior High School faculty room. Danielle Gabel will lead a workshop on building birdhouses from a kit. Members wishing to participate should bring $7 for the kit, and a hammer. Flower arranger is Nancy Mantione. To reserve a kit or for more information, call Gabel at 480-0177.

Alden Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Alden Community Center, 13116 Main St. Carrie Barnard, owner of Country Crossroads Florists in Marilla, will present “Silk Flower: Arrangements and Displaying Tips,” creating five Easter arrangements to be auctioned. Guests welcome.

Western New York Herb Study Group will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave. Julie Emerling, from Lockwood’s Greenhouses, will talk on herb germination and maintenance.

Garden expert and author Mike Shadrack will present “Behind the Scenes at the Chelsea Flower Show” at 7 p.m. Thursday in the historic Village Meeting House, 5658 Main St., Williamsville. Tickets are $5; seating is limited. Hosted by the Village of Williamsville Beautification Committee; proceeds will benefit the restoration of the Meeting House gardens. Tickets are available at Village Hall, 5565 Main St., during regular office hours; Village ARTisans, 5560 Main St., during shop hours; and at the door the night of the event.

South Town Gardeners will meet at 9: 30 a.m. next Friday in the Burchfield Nature & Art Center, 2001 Union Road, West Seneca. Maryann Jumper will give a presentation on the World Flower Show. New members and guests welcome. No gardening experience necessary. For information, call 668-0209.
