WEST ALMOND – A 21-year-old North Carolina man was arrested by State Police after a routine traffic stop Monday during which a 16-year-old Henderson, N.C., girl previously reported as a runaway was found in his vehicle.
Matthew Bordonaro, 21, of Wendell, N.C., was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a firearm for a pistol found in his vehicle. Bordonaro was released on $1,000 bail after his arraignment in Almond Town Court. The mother of the 16-year-old runaway came to New York State to take her daughter back home, officials reported.
