A 21-year-old Loring Avenue man was arrested on assault charges after allegedly stabbing a teenaged neighbor girl with a kitchen knife during an argument Tuesday evening. James Mitchell was charged with third-degree assault shortly after the incident about 10:30 p.m. The girl was treated for a puncture wound of her upper left arm, police reported.
