SHELDON – A Sheldon man was killed shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday after falling into a ravine off Falls Road in this Wyoming County community.
State police said the victim, Stephen T. Wagner, 25, was hiking with a friend when he lost his footing and fell about 150 feet into the ravine, landing in water. State police from the Warsaw barracks, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, Sheldon firefighters and the Wyoming County Rescue Team responded.
The death, believed to be accidental, remains under investigation.
