Orchard Park police charged an Ohio man with driving while intoxicated late Saturday night, then arrested the woman who came to bail him out because she driving with a suspended license, police reported.

Officers said they stopped Joseph Case, 44, of North Bridgeville on Abbott Road near Big Tree Road at 11:50 p.m. for weaving out of traffic lanes.

Case failed field sobriety tests and submitted to a breath test at the police station where his blood alcohol level was shown to be 0.21 percent, more than 2½ times the legal limit, police said.

A marijuana pipe containing marijuana residue was also discovered in Case’s vehicle, police said. Case was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, a traffic infraction and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $500.

When Josephine Dixon, 46, of Flanders, N.J., arrived to bail Case out, police said they arrested her for driving with a license suspended for failing to answer summonses in the towns of Friendship and Wales. Bail was set at $200.

Case and Dixon eventually posted bail and were released to a licensed driver, police said.
