Food truck followers, history buffs and folks who enjoy Buffalo’s warm-weather months are coming together again this summer, starting Wednesday.

The Buffalo History Museum hosts its second annual Food Truck Rodeo, which includes outside picnic seating, free museum admission, children activities, DJ music and 12 to 13 food trucks serving various local cuisine.

The rodeo kicks off 5 p.m. Wednesday and also will take place the first Wednesday of each month this summer (July 2, Aug. 6 and Sept. 3).

Museum admission will be free from 5 to 8 p.m. and food trucks will serve until 8:30 p.m.

The museum expects approximately 500 people to attend Wednesday, and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and lawn chairs as they take in views of the museum’s architecture and Delaware Park.

Children activities will include crafts, museum tours and artifact scavenger hunts. The Buffalo Fire Department is also set to offer food for kids, and youngsters will have the chance to explore an official fire truck.

The Buffalo Food Truck Association organized 12 to 13 trucks to participate in each rodeo. The trucks will offer various eats, including tacos, gourmet hot dogs, desserts and fresh deli, vegetarian and grilled foods.
