Two men were arrested and one charged with driving while intoxicated in connection with a robbery in Orchard Park on Tuesday night, officials said.
Orchard Park police stopped a white pickup truck on East Quaker Street after responding at 8:30 p.m. to a report of two men breaking into a home on Kathryn Drive, near Orchard Park High School, and stealing a flatscreen television, authorities said.
Keefer Bernhisel, 23, of Mt. Holly Springs, Pa., and Anthony Haake, 36, of Eden, were charged with robbery, burglary and conspiracy, according to police.
Bernhisel, who was driving the truck, was also charged with driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child, as he stands accused of pushing a 4-year-old child during the burglary, authorities said. His blood alcohol level was .17 percent, officials said.
Bernhisel and Haake were remanded to the Erie County Holding Center, according to police, and are being held in lieu of $5,500 and $5,000 bail, respectively.
