ELLICOTTVILLE – Amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping season, community members who put together Ellicottville’s Christmas Stroll want to reinforce the true meaning of the season.
Along with abundant shopping and dining, the Dec. 7 celebration will feature a Living Nativity.
The Living Nativity will start in the gazebo in the Town Hall square at 6 p.m.
There also will be events throughout the village.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the United Church on Elizabeth Street will be the host of a Christmas Bazaar offering gifts for sale.
Wagon rides will be given near Town Hall. Holy Name of Mary Church will also be displaying a Nativity scene and angels. At 4:30, a rare animal will also be sought as a parade will take place to find the elusive “reindog.” Pet owners who have what they believe to be the animal can bring their reindog, dressed in an appropriate outfit, to the Ellicottville Post Office at 4 Washington St. to take part in the parade.
