Public meetings will be held this week to discuss the Gateway Connections project at the Peace Bridge, which connects the bridge to the northbound Niagara Thruway and removes Baird Drive from Front Park.

Project staff will describe the project and answer questions at both meetings. Interpreters will be on hand to translate in Spanish, Somali, Arabic, Burmese, Karen and Nepali.

The meetings will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in D’Youville College’s Blue Lounge, College Center Building, 329 Porter Ave., and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the cafeteria at the Belle Center, 104 Maryland St.

More information about the project is available at www.dot.ny.gov/nygateway.

Public comments on the final environmental impact statement will be accepted through May 5.
