A 21-year-old man was slain early Saturday morning while sitting in a vehicle on the first block of St. Mary’s Road near Walden Avenue, Buffalo police reported.
Police responded to a “shots fired” call in the vicinity of St. Mary’s Road and Walden Avenue around 1:40 a.m.
Officers found the victim in a vehicle and he was rushed by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, but died at the hospital.
Police learned that several shots were apparently fired by a lone gunman - described as a black male, wearing an orange colored hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
The gunman fled the scene on foot.
