BATAVIA – Former Assemblyman Charles Nesbitt, of Albion, received the Distinguished Flying Cross during his Army helicopter unit’s reunion last weekend in Batavia. He was honored for helping to save a wounded U.S. Special Forces soldier during a rescue operation in Vietnam 45 years ago.
